The Sintra pool starts with the products that pass a combined rating of at least 4.5 with 30 or more reviews. From those we keep the ones whose rating on Viator alone is at least 4.5, and rank them by their Viator review count. Tripadvisor figures travel with each tour for reference and decide nothing.
A product's reviews cover all its options together. A rating says nothing about a ticket option the operator added last month.
Which tours belong on a collection
The Lisbon collection compares shared full-day trips that start in Lisbon and visit Sintra. Its full-day boundary is 6 hours. A trip that starts in Sintra does not gain a Lisbon transfer from its title.
Private trips and shorter trips have their own collections. The Lisbon page shows a private day and a half-day visit separately. They do not enter the count of shared full-day choices.
We compared the saved listings for all 50 tours in the pool. We choose a shortlist that covers different plans. A tour can fit the collection and still stay outside the shortlist when it repeats a route already covered.
Read the exact option
"Pena Palace" in a tour name can mean several ticket choices. Each comparison names the exact option and keeps its price beside its entry terms.

Option descriptions are read alongside inclusions and exclusions. The itinerary supplies the stops and their minutes. Conflicting ticket terms need resolving before we recommend that option as ticket-inclusive.
The cheapest product price is left out when it belongs to a different option. Room guiding is shown only when the option or itinerary explicitly includes it. The booking button stays with the exact option compared. Photographs come from the tour listings, with the captions the operator gave them.
What decides selection and order
Pena access comes first. We then compare the listed route and duration. Group size, pickup and the option's cost help distinguish the remaining choices.
The Lisbon collection separates its main choices from alternatives for a different day. Within each group, the order follows the Viator review count used for the pool. The reason to choose each tour is stated beside it.
Commission rates and promotional labels do not change the selection or order. We earn a commission from bookings through our buttons, at no extra cost to the traveller. We neither sell nor run tours.
We compare the operators' descriptions and figures. We have not taken these tours. Going independently remains a good outcome when a tour adds little to the day you want.

The date beside a comparison marks the saved tour data used for its figures: currently 15 September 2026. Official ticket and transport prices are checked against Parques de Sintra and CP every day; the last check was .
Starting fares can vary with the travel date and party size. They are not a quote for a particular booking. The booking page shows the price for your date.
