“Half-Day Sintra: Pena Palace, Quinta Regaleira & Town Center” starts at Portela de Sintra station and gives Pena’s grounds and terraces 75 minutes, the old town 30 and Regaleira 90, with a guide, for up to 14 people from €65 per adult. Tickets are reserved after booking and paid in cash to the guide.

Departures at 08:30 and 14:00. Take the train from Rossio to Portela de Sintra, one stop before the terminus. The walk is about 7 to 8 km on cobbles and stairs, with two uphill stretches of 15 minutes.

  • In the unlikely event that Pena or Regaleira close due to weather, safety, or other unforeseen circumstances, we'll visit alternative monuments to ensure a complete and enjoyable experience.
  • On 24, 25, and 31 December, and 1 January, Pena Palace and Regaleira are closed to visitors. Alternative itinerary will be offered on these dates.
  • This tour requires a minimum number of participants. If the minimum is not met, we'll contact you to offer an alternative departure time or date.
  • Entrance tickets are not included in the tour price. We'll reserve your tickets after booking, and payment is made in cash (euros) to your guide on the day of the tour.
  • No hotel pickup. You meet at the start point.

Meet your guide outside Café Pérola da Portela, in front of the south exit of Portela de Sintra station (left side when arriving from Lisbon). If travelling from Lisbon, get off at Portela de Sintra, not Sintra. Your guide will be waiting outside the café.
